What Is SuperZoo 2021?
SuperZoo is a yearly event that takes place in Las Vegas and is the largest product marketplace in North America. The World Pet Association (WPA) started the non-profit event in 1950.
The event showcases the latest pet product innovations, emerging industry trends, and offers the latest in pet wellness education. Attendees not only gain insight into the industry but also make real-life connections with the people behind the retailer and manufacturing companies.
Moreover, proceeds from SuperZoo events are reinvested back into the community through its WPA Good Works program.
SuperZoo 2021 Will Be In Las Vegas
This August, nearly 300,000 square feet of expo space at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas turns into the pet mecca of North America. More than 20,000 pet professionals from around the world are expected to join more than 1,100 exhibitors in a massive gathering of information exchange, networking, and product sales.
SuperZoo used to be held in southern California but was relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to attract more international attendees. Since SuperZoo 2020 was canceled due to COVID, the Aug event expects attendance to be its biggest yet.

Who Started SuperZoo?
The World Pet Association (WPA) started SuperZoo in 1950. WPA is one of the pet industry’s oldest nonprofit organizations in the world. While the trade show takes place in Vegas, the company headquarter is in Monrovia, a city in southern California.
Their mission is to “support the business needs of pet retailers and to promote responsible growth and development of the pet industry by providing thought leadership on consumer and legislative issues; leading efforts in the public sector to inform consumers and ensure safe, healthy lifestyles for all animals; and provide business resources, education, content, and services to ensure pet product retailers have the support they need to be competitive.”
How Can I Attend SuperZoo 2021?
According to WPA’s site, “*Attendance at SuperZoo is limited to pet professionals engaged in the buying of pets, pet products or providing pet services to consumers.”

Why Is It Called SuperZoo?
WPA’s first trade show was held in San Francisco. It was called Animal Crackers, Inc., and brought together pet product manufacturers and retailers in a hub of information exchange and sales. Needless to say, it was a success.
in 2000, in honor of its 50th anniversary, WPA changed the trade show name to SuperZoo. Along with the name change, the trade show eventually relocated to Las Vegas to attract more international attendance.
