COURTESY LISTING  - Please contact person below with inquiries.   ~2 years old.  Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD.    Molly Cline Taylorsville, NC   [email protected]   Date Posted: 03/27/24   Showed up as a stray with male Great Pyrenees a few weeks ago. Reported to local Animal Services. Scanned, no microchip found. Though she showed up with another large dog and home owners have a small breed puppy and senior small breed she's shown little interest in playing with the other dogs. Has shown no aggression towards them. This girl LOVES children and will pick a kid over any adult. Has liked all women she's met. A little weary of men, bit if they kneel down she slowly approaches and allows pettings. Hasn't been aggressive Wherever the kids are she is. Sometimes "rounds up" the kids to have them close by. Property has cattle and horses. Hasn't shown much interest in them. Was shocked by the electric fence once and Hasn't attempted to get close to it since. She was a stray so unknown if spayed and unknown if house broken. Stays on property and porch, but hangs out at door when everyone is inside as if she wants inside with people. Has attempted and managed to scoot inside to the house once. Home owners cannot keep her. She seems like she had a family with kids before showing up. Very nice girl. Seems to know sit, shake and stay commands.   PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.

Adoption Process
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
