Animal Rescue Carolina, Inc.

We are a new organization, only recently submitting our paperwork for the Federal 501(c)3. We have all volunteered with other rescue organizations and have spent years doing personal rescues. We are completely foster-based, believing small, foster-based rescues have a place in the rescue/shelter universe. We do rescue because we can't turn our backs on the animals we come across in need.

Meet Kenny

Kenny loves when the peanut butter box is here!  He was born around 2/7/21 and had the bad luck of being owned by someone who tied him up and let his collar grown into his neck.  They then tied him to a goal post because they did not have the nerve to surrender him to be safe,  Gotta love people!  He is an affectionate boy who walks well on the leash and is desperate for attention, once he is comfortable.  He does start off shy. He is crate trained, knows basic commands and is undergoing training and he LOVES to please his people. Now he is with a cat rescue HaHa!! We just know there is a home out there for this wonderful dog. Black cats! Black dogs! what ya gonna do?Adopt One, that's what!!He has not been exposed to cats but he ignores dogs on his walks and has only shown a tail wag and happy to meet ya! when in closer contact. email us at [email protected] for an application or to meet Kenny.

Adoption Process
We have an application that must be filled out including a vet reference and non-relative references. A 24 hour hold on the application allows the ARC volunteer to call references and follow up with any questions for the potential adopter. A home visit may be scheduled at this point. If the person is approved, they must sign a contract. An adoption fee is required, however this may be waived in special circumstances. If for any reason in the future they can no longer take care of the pet, the animal must be returned to ARC.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
