Meet Katie

Katie is a young, under 1 yr old, Red Heeler. She is petite, around 30 lbs, but may get a bit bigger.  She is high energy and will require a home that has some knowledge of the breed.  She is fun, playful, and loves people. She will need some training, specifically obedience and house training.  She keeps her kennel clean most of the time but will have an occasional accident.  She might be a bit much for children under 10 BUT we will consider a family with children of any age provided parents understand her energy level and the need for continued training.  As mentioned she is HIGH energy.  She will need a "job" of some sort (mostly some type of daily exercise) to use up her energy. Anyone interested in Katie must meet her and complete an application.  Our hours are listed below. She will be spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, wormed and microchipped prior to going home. ***Katie is a candidate for the prison training program once all of her vet care has been completed and a space opens up.    Morrow County Dog Shelter, Mt.
