Meet Winchester Regencys (CL)

Winchester Regencys ~9 years old. Good with female dogs and older considerate kids. Cats TBD. Please note: Winchester Regencys is not a GSRA dog, he is being fostered by Ellen – please contact her with questions or to find out more about Winchester Regencys-- [email protected] Hi, my name is Winchester Regencys (Chester) and you might have seen the listing for my sister, Angelina Jolie (Jolie). We are pure-bred, CHAMPION German Shepherds. I am even a GRAND Champion! Our owner has a solid reputation breeding really good dogs. But don’t be fooled by our stunning good looks, we are the full German Shepherd package. What’s that mean? It means: I am smart as a whip I love pleasing people I learn fast I want to be a velcro dog I am mature - no puppy crazies, past the chewing stage - I am 9 years young I have good a temperament I am crate-trained and ride well in the crate in the car It also means: I have a lot of fur so I will need some regular grooming I haven’t been an inside dog much, so I might need a little help learning the ropes (see #1 above though!) I need someone who understands German Shepherds and will help me with the transition from kennel dog to house dog I am treat motivated, and love attention, so teaching me good manners should be a breeze Things have been a little rough for our owner lately. She’s an older lady and her health hasn’t been good. She has been doing the best she can for us, but we would really appreciate a warm, safe home to spend the rest of our years. Right now I might look a little scraggly, but it’s nothing that some gentle grooming and a bath won’t fix. I love to run and explore and so a fenced yard would be a wonderful treat. If you’ve ever had a male German Shepherd, you know we’re kind of mushes inside, despite our fierce looks. Well, that’s me, Chester. I will lean on you for as long as you want to pet me. I run like I’m some 9 month old puppy, flinging my legs out in front like a complete goof. It’s very amusing to watch. I do not need to be in the same home with Jolie (but can we write to each other now and again?). Thanks to some people who are advocating hard for us, I will arrive fully vetted and neutered. I would do best with another female dog, and probably not any cats. So, here’s your chance, folks. It’s very rare that someone has the opportunity to adopt a movie star like me. It’s like finding the Golden Ticket from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Who wants to win the lottery in 2024? Want more info - Please contact Ellen at [email protected]

Adoption Process
We require an application to be filled out on our website - http://gsdrescue.org/index.html After the application is submitted a Vet Check, Phone Interview, and Home Visit are required to receive approval for adoption. Once approval is granted then the applicant and a GSD match is made then a trial will take place (usually 1 week). The adoption fee is $300 and an adoption contract is required at the time of the trial.
