Meet Ruby

Meet Ruby! She is a tiny Shiba Inu, only two years old and weighs a mere 12 pounds! Ruby and her brother Hank came to us as their owners were unable to handle the antics of a Shiba. Ruby had a severe case of bladder stones and needed immediate surgery also. Ruby is a smart and active girl!  She is crate and leash trained, but her favorite thing to do is run and play in a fully fenced yard. She is generally house-trained, but when she had bladder stones, she used potty pads frequently, so she may need a little extra time to adjust. Ruby can be a bit of a character, and she loves to be the boss. She gets along well with other dogs, but she can be bossy and may try to bully them if she thinks she can get away with it. She is also curious about cats and doesn't show any signs of aggression towards them. Ruby can be an escape artist, so a fully fenced privacy yard is a must or frequent leashed walks. She has even climbed a chain-link fence before! Once she knows and trusts you, she won't try to escape, but we still recommend caution. For safety reasons, we'd prefer a home with older children and someone who has experience with Shiba Inu or Husky breeds. If you are looking for a fun-loving and adventurous companion, Ruby is the perfect girl for you! Ruby is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She also had surgery to remove painful bladder stones.  Her adoption fee is $500
