Meet Thomas

Handsome Thomas is available for adoption!  He is a long hair merle chihuahua, 6-7 years old and 7 pounds.   Thomas was acquired from a breeder and is still in the process of learning how to be a pet. Due to this, he can be timid and uncertain around people. However, he is not aggressive in any way. Although he allows people to pick him up, he does not actively seek affection from them. It is best for Thomas to be in a home with another dog, as this would provide him with a companion to learn from and keep him company. He tends to bond with female dogs. Despite his small size, he has a spirited personality and can become the boss dog once he becomes comfortable in his surroundings. Not aggressive but just bossy! Thomas is not yet leash-trained, but he enjoys spending time outdoors in his foster home's fully fenced yard when the weather is good. While he does not venture outside on his own, he is capable of coming back inside by himself. Thomas is not housetrained, so he has accidents in his foster home. However, he can wear a belly band if necessary. It is best for Thomas to be in a home that has experience with small dogs so that he can continue to grow and thrive. Thomas is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also been professionally groomed. His adoption fee is $400
