Meet Thor

Thor is a 7 month old male Shepherd mix, and is a sweet gentle pup ready for his forever family. He is initially a little shy, but warms up, especially once he is in the quieter park area. And even better, Thor really comes out of his shell when he is given a chance to play with other pups. He looks so cute as he seems a bit unsure how to play - but it’s clear that he is quickly learning the art of puppy play from his doggie peers! Thor also seems to be cat-friendly, and has not shown any reaction other than mild curiosity with the nearby feral cats. Overall he is a fairly calm dog with a moderate energy level … just right for some fun playtime and leash walks, without being hyper. As an added bonus, this lovable boy loves to cuddle and get affection from you. He has a precious way of leaning in for a full hug while getting pets. So don’t let another day go by without bringing this sweet boy home - he's ready to fill your days with endless love and joy. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
