The mission of the American Belgian Malinois, Inc (ABMR, Inc) is to act on behalf of homeless or unwanted purebred Belgian Malinois dogs. ABMR, Inc fulfills its mission of service by securing qualified assessment, care, fostering, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and permanent loving homes for Belgian Malinois dogs and puppies that are surrendered, impounded, neglected, abused, or discarded. This breed is often surrendered to shelters due to their high energy levels and are becoming popular with backyard breeders due to their large litters. Our dogs are required to be spayed or neutered before available for adoption.

Meet SOLO-NC

Solo is a 10 month old neutered male Malinois located in the Durham NC area. He came into rescue after being dumped at a fire station in Alabama and one of the fire fighters took him home but quickly realized he did not have the time to give him. Solo is both house and crate trained and has never met a stranger. His foster is currently working on obedience but at 10 months old it’s a work in progress. He currently lives with cats that he wants to play with but ultimately is just too much for and a female large breed dog he loves and plays well with. 

Adoption Process
To adopt, you must submit an adoption application. Personal references, and Vet references are checked and a home visit is completed. Our mission is to match the family to the right dog Adoption fees range between $325-$550 depending on the age of the dog. Adopters must sign an adoption contract
