Meet Wanda Female | Spayed | ~1½ years old | Up-to-date on vaccinations Wanda is a sweet, sensitive soul looking for a patient and loving home. Originally rescued as a stray in Texas, she made her way to Wisconsin around her first birthday. She’s shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s affectionate, eager to please, and loves nothing more than being close to her person—snuggles are her favorite! Personality & Training: House-trained (with occasional accidents) Knows commands: wait, sit, down, heel Walks well on leash in quiet areas Not crate-trained and likely wouldn’t do well in one Responds best to gentle, positive reinforcement Ideal Home: Fenced yard preferred Good with other dogs Likely not suitable for cats No known experience with children Would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired Special Needs: Wanda has significant separation anxiety and takes daily Prozac, with additional medication available if needed. She’s made great progress—no recent chewing or destruction—but she’s still a counter-surfer and occasionally has accidents when left alone. She does best when she can come and go freely through an open door. Fun Facts: Her Embark DNA test shows she’s a unique mix: 40% American Pit Bull 20% Great Pyrenees 20% German Shepherd 20% Miniature Australian Shepherd Wanda loves walks, dog parks, learning new commands, and being your shadow. She’s ready to bond deeply with someone who can offer her the time, patience, and love she deserves. Interested? Please email [email protected]
