Shih Tzu 2 years old Adoption fee $575 Buster is charismatic, delightful to be around, affectionate, smart, playful, and a champion snuggler. He will captivate your heart and never let go. Buster is someone’s once in a lifetime dog. His ideal family will invest the time to forge that special bond. Petting Buster’s incredibly soft fur is so soothing, you’ll want to pet him often. He gives the world’s best hugs which calm the stressed and comfort the sad. He likes men, women, respectful children, and dogs. Although he hasn’t met cats, he has no prey drive. He is sensitive, intuitive, and learns quickly. He wants to be in the good graces of his people at all times. Buster utilizes eye contact and charming inflected vocalizations to express his wants and needs (e.g. I need to go outside now, Can we wake up now? Can we eat early? etc.). He will play play plays with a variety of squeaky/crinkle toys. He loves playing chase with dogs, and will stop when the other dog indicates they are done. He loves chewing his little ball as well as retrieving. He loves exploring and walks well on the leash. He is crate trained, potties outside, but needs continuation of house training to reach 100%. If you want a dog to brighten your day, enrich your life, love you unconditionally and provide the world’s best hugs, Buster is looking for his once in a lifetime family . Could you be the one? Completion of an Adoption Application via our website (www.RescueCrew.org) is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in the adoption process. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well.
Adoption Process
Adoption applications must be completed, which include information regarding references and vet clinic information, DL #, names, etc. Reference checks are conducted and when necessary vetting information verified. Discussion about the animal interested in to best assure appropriate and proper placement is made, and educational information regarding how to manage a multi-dog/animal household, slow and proper introductions and the importance of a shut-down period to help the animal acclimate to new surroundings. A "meet and greet" with the animal is required and whenever possible all residents of the household should be present. Home checks may, but not always, be necessary. After adoption applications is approved a contract is required, where we also stipulate that if for any reason the adopter determines they no longer want or can care for the animal we require it be returned to us, with the exception of documented bite history or potentially dangerous or dangerous dog designations. Adoption fees vary, but are comparable to or less than other local rescues and typically are $300 or less for a canine and $150 for a feline.
