American Belgian Malinois Rescue, Inc

The mission of the American Belgian Malinois, Inc (ABMR, Inc) is to act on behalf of homeless or unwanted purebred Belgian Malinois dogs. ABMR, Inc fulfills its mission of service by securing qualified assessment, care, fostering, medical treatment, rehabilitation, and permanent loving homes for Belgian Malinois dogs and puppies that are surrendered, impounded, neglected, abused, or discarded. This breed is often surrendered to shelters due to their high energy levels and are becoming popular with backyard breeders due to their large litters. Our dogs are required to be spayed or neutered before available for adoption.

Meet Aditi - GA

Aditi , though her name means “boundless, freedom, and security,” found herself in a shelter in Georgia after being picked up as a stray. The shelter staff fell in love with her sweet nature and the way she was able to get along with other dogs her size. They reached out to ABMR to help save her life as she found herself unclaimed and on the dreaded list.    Just as the shelter promised, Aditi is a total love. At first, she would jump up to wrap her arms around the people she wanted, but her foster is working to have her ask nicely for attention with all four on the floor. She is fine with the resident dogs though they mostly ignore her, and the shelter reports she was able to be with playgroup dogs there. Aditi is working on house manners, eats in her crate with a voracious appetite (recommend slow feeder or placing rubber balls in her bowl to slow her down), is working on basic house manners, and is really sneaky when it comes to affection. If you are not careful, she will attempt to make an “Aditi sandwich” by scooting between you and the back of the couch. She also loves her ball and will bring it to you for a game of fetch or happily run around the yard with it in her mouth. With that said Aditi has a fantastic off switch when indoors or when you take a rest on a lawn chair. She is always ready for affection.   Aditi has been tested with a Malinois savvy child who has a double digit age, but due to some nipping for attention when she first arrived, she will not be placed in a home with children whose age(s) are in the single digits.  Aditi is located in Georgia and will be ready for adoption once she is altered. Reasonable transport can be arranged for her forever family. Would you like to be Aditi’s next slice of bread?
