About Me: Name: Various Breed (or best guess):  All kinds of Poodle/Doodle Mixes Approximate Age: 3-5 months Gender: Male and Female Approximate Weight: 4-11 lb on 2/14 Adoption Fee: $550 each Requirements: Why In Rescue: Breeder/Farmer surrender   The remaining males from this group are tiny Shih Tzu Poodle mixes, black and white in color. Profile:  In the past week we have taken in multiple puppies from multiple litters of puppies that were bred to be pet store puppies, but never got sold to the pet stores.  So now they have been spayed/neutered, started on vaccines and dewormer, microchipped, and looking for homes.  The puppies will be available starting 2/17/23, and if this listing is still online, we are still accepting applications for them.  Because of the number of puppies, we are accepting general applications and then when an approved applicant comes to the shelter, they will be able to meet/adopt any available puppy that interested them.  We will not put holds on a specific puppy.  If interested in adopting a pup, please fill out an application.   Puppy breeds include Female Peke a Poos, Male Shih Tzu-Poodles, Male and Female Teddy Bear - Poodles, Female Teddy Bear - Pomeranians. The puppies will need to learn things like housetraining, walking on a leash and what to chew and not to chew, just like all puppies.  These pups have probably never lived in a home. If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $200 - $550 depending on the age of the dog, which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc

Adoption Process
Before meeting with a dog, a pre-adoption application must be completed. After the application is approved, a meeting is arranged between the adopter and the pet. An adoption contract is signed, adoption fee paid (generally $495), and the dog is able to go to the new home once all medical care is given. Dogs are fully vetted, including vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm test, deworming, dental if needed, and other procedures needed by the particular dog. Adopters are required to return the dog to us if they are unable or unwilling to care for the dog in the future.
