Meet Weasel
Weasel's adoption fee is only $100 as he is partially sponsored by a volunteer who loves this sweet boy! Weasel is a super sweet 8 year old, 45 pound, Australian Cattle dog mix looking for an active and loving family! His original owner could no longer care for him so he was taken in by a family member. Unfortunately the situation didn't work out as it was discovered Weasel likes other dogs but is not a fan of small children or cats! Children 10+ are fine! So he came to us to find his next fur-ever home. This smart boy has a lot of life ahead of him, and he deserves only the best! He is seasoned in his knowledge and manners, and he knows Sit, Shake, Down, (stays pretty well) and LOVES butt scratches! He doesn’t jump up on you and has great leash manners. He enjoys his toys and has his favorites too, but usually the enrichment ones with other goodies in there to help distract his mind. He is smaller in size, only standing about 24" tall and is a bit timid when he first meets you but warms up quickly and his size is perfect if you are looking for a cuddle buddy. He is a great dog, and would make a great addition to someone who can give him his best life! He is an experienced best-friend, and would make a great couch potato or who will curl up nicely next to the couch when it's time for a nap. He is very food motivated, so any additional training would be a breeze, but he knows everything he needs to know now, so what more is there?! He is such a sweet and smart boy, and we're surprised he has not found his fur-ever home! If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
