Meet Maycee

Maycee is a charming 7 year-old Pekingese/Pomeranian mix with a heart full of love and a personality as big as her fluffy tan coat. Weighing in at just 11 pounds, she is the perfect lap dog who thrives on companionship and affection. Maycee is extremely tolerant, playful, and absolutely adores her humans! She quickly forms deep bonds and will greet you with excited little dances on her hind legs, almost as if she’s crying in happiness when you return home.House-trained and crate-trained, Maycee has excellent manners. She’ll politely let you know when she needs to go outside by sitting near the door and looking at you expectantly. At night, she sleeps in either her crate or the bed without issue, snuggling into her favorite blanket. She is currently an only dog and may do well with other resident dogs given the right fit. She’s a bit apprehensive when other dogs pass by the house, but this also means you’ll get a built-in guard dog! We aren’t yet sure how she’d do around cats and a meet and greet would be recommended prior to adopting to a home with cats.A natural entertainer, Maycee has a collection of quirky habits that bring joy to everyone around her. She loves rolling around and snorting after coming in from outside, and her signature look—her tiny tongue poking out due to her toothless grin—is sure to melt hearts. Her favorite pastime is playing fetch with her beloved squeaky toy, and she absolutely loves her daily walks. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.
