Meet Iris
Iris is a sweet young lady just over a year old. She was a transfer from another rescue along with her sister, Indigo. They both unfortunately, did not come from a great background. Their previous owner was forced to surrender his dogs because of living conditions. The house was being condemned. These poor ladies have came along way since arriving! They were terrified of people, and any slight movement or sound that they were unfamiliar with. They have sense blossomed into two charming young ladies. (Still a little timid but, growing more confident everyday!) Iris is black with a white spit on her chest, where as her sister is all black. Iris needs some basic manners taught, but even with working with her on sit, man she was catching on quickly! They are pretty bonded, but don’t need to stay together. If they do, it is a 2 for 1 adoption price! No resource guarding between the two, and they both have more confidence with another dog. So a household with another dog is preferred! Iris is a complete water baby, and absolutely LOVES the pools, and water! Baths of course are completely different, but she does well with a bath too! If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
