Saving Pets One at a Time Inc, the Morgan County Humane Society

We are all volunteers. Our mission is to reduce the number of dogs euthanized at the pound, reunite lost dogs with owners, and provide food so families can keep their dogs through difficult times. Food pantry dogs must be spay/neutered to qualify for free food. We have monthly clinics at no or low charge for Morgan County dogs. We rescue and place about 300 per year. We keep dogs in foster homes so we really get to know them before adoption. We think in a small county like ours, a shelter building is an unnecessary expense, besides being bad for the dogs.

Meet Luther

Luther has a very faint brindle coat and a sweet personality. Born around the first of March, now 24 pounds, he came into rescue because a landlord didn't allow pets, which broke a little boy's heart, but Luther himself bounced back and is open to a new family. Crate and house trained, neutered, Lyme/heartworm tested, current on shots. Fee $200. Apply at morganspot.org to meet him.

Adoption Process
application with vet reference, basic fee is $150, contract and 2 week try out. All dogs are fixed and current on shots, flea/worm treated, and heartworm free.
