Paws Across Pittsburgh

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals.We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.

Meet Moira

Hello world! It is I Moira the magnificent! Like a true magician, I will steal the show wherever I go, keep you in constant awe and wonder, and amaze you with all my tricks. I’m said to be around 8 months old a schnauzer mix, weigh about 25 pounds, and currently up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. I am also spayed. I did come into rescue with a healed elbow fracture which may require future amputation. However at this time, nothing  further was deemed necessary by an orthopedic surgeon, and my foster family says it’s doesn’t slow me down one bit!  My foster family says my spirit is bright and I love to romp and play. I love my crate (sleep there all night) and am extremely food motivated. I also love the water!  I know how to sit and even respond to my name.  Snuggling is one of my favorite past times. I get along well with other dogs and cats, but would do better with younger pups who enjoy playtime as much as I do!  I am available for adoption on September 18, 2025 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144 KL #16182
