Meet Christopher

Hi, I’m Christopher – an 8-year-old, 17-pound, chi/retriever mix with a light brown face, white legs, and a heart that’s slowly but surely learning how good the world can be.My buddy, Drax, and I were part of a big rescue  — almost 80 dogs and cats saved from a hoarding situation that wasn’t safe for any of us. I’m lucky to have Drax to pal around with. He's also up for adoption with our new friends at AHOTO.Truth is, I love attention. I don’t mind being picked up or held at all — it actually feels kind of nice knowing someone cares.I get along well with other dogs and have never shown any aggression toward anyone. I do bark at strangers when they approach — hey, I’m part Chihuahua! But give me a moment, and I settle down quickly. I just need a second to feel things out.Exciting news: I just started leash training and I'm going on walks this week! It’s a whole new adventure, and I’m getting the hang of it with every step.I’m curious, gentle, and ready to keep growing with someone who understands that second chances can lead to the best kinds of stories.
