Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals.We have a monthly pet pantry, provide temporary fostering for emergency situations, have a Senior pets for Seniors program, and more.

Meet Lena – Your Future Best Friend.Leena is a 30-pound mixed-breed sweetheart who’s ready to leave her shelter days behind and find a loving forever home. After spending months in the shelter, she may be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take long for her gentle personality to shine through. Once she knows you're kind, she’ll be your loyal companion. She is estimated to be around 1 year old.This quiet, affectionate girl knows basic commands and walks nicely on a leash, as she likes to stay close. Leena prefers not to be crated but is working hard on this. She is fully housebroken and respectful of your home—no chewing or unwanted messes.At home, she’s calm and easygoing, but give her a doggy playmate and a little space, and she’ll show off her playful, speedy side! Leena gets along well with other dogs, cats, and even children, making her a wonderful fit for many types of families.She’s recently been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations—healthy and ready to go! If you're looking for a loyal, loving pup who just wants to be close and cuddle, Leena is waiting for you and her forever home.Leena is available for adoption on or after 10/5/25, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL# 16182.
