Hello! I am Ziggy! I came to the shelter a while ago as a stray. You might be wondering why you haven't seen me on the website though? Well when I first arrived, I was very, very skinny. With lots of love, medical care, and special TLC, I gained weight and now look like a regular pup! I am a special kiddo: I am so full of love and affection, and all I want in the whole wide world is to be with you. If I could tag along on every adventure, be your sidekick on every quest, I absolutely would. I have your back, no matter what! I am playful, silly, but very smart! I love to learn new tricks and skills. When I'm not showing off my smarts, I like to splash around in the baby pool. I would do best in a home of older tweens/teens, as I can get grabby with treats (I am learning how to take them easy, but every now and again I can forget). I am a wonderful office friend; I lounge on the dog bed, snack on a kong, or snuggle up in someone's lap. I am learning how to crate-train, and honestly I love it! It makes me feel so safe and cozy. I am such a cool dude and would make the best lifelong companion. I have so much to tell you when you come to meet me, that it will probably take a few meet and greets for us to get through all my stories! If you want someone snuggly, fun, and wicked smart, come meet me today!I am currently a foster to adopt candidate. If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog's better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict. The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neutering-heartworm testingAdoption fee: $135.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older.
