Meet Ziggy (courtesy post)
Meet Ziggy -- a 6-year old Dachshund mix boy -- that is in search of a forever home. Ziggy may be small in size but this gentle soul has a heart as big as his floppy ears. Ziggy was turned into the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV, and that is where he currently is. He once lived in a home with another smaller dog and will do best as an only dog or a larger dog as a companion. Ziggy is the type of pup who will enjoy peaceful afternoons, soft belly rubs and quiet companionship. He's not one to demand attention but appreciates patient love from those who will take the time to earn his trust. Ziggy does well with older, dog-savvy children (no toddlers please) and should do fine with most respectful cats. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your kindness and bring gentle warmth to your life, Ziggy might be the perfect match. He's ready to find his new home where he can build his confidence and feel like he belongs. Please contact the Long Run Pet Hospital at 304-232-2605 for more information on Ziggy.
Adoption Process
Before scheduling a meet-and-greet with one of our adoptable cats or dogs, you must complete an application and interview with an adoption team member. Applications are located on our website at www.animaladvocates.net. We get to know the pets’ personalities and needs very well, striving to make the best possible match for both animals and adopters.
Adoptions Fees (as of 1/2021)
-Young (year or younger): $100 kitten – $225 puppy
-Adult (year or older): $80 cat – $180 dog
-Senior (10 / 8 years or older): $60 cat – $90 dog
- Discount for adopting a pair – ½ off the adoption fee of the second cat or dog.
We aim to provide high quality care for the well-being of rescued cats and dogs until they are placed in forever homes. All animals are regularly vet checked, fully vaccinated, spayed / neutered and microchipped. They are routinely treated for fleas and worms as well as any medical issues.
