Meet Phoenix
Phoenix came to us as a scared, shut down and very pregnant stray. She has now raised her babies, found them homes and is ready for her own place to call home. She tends to be on the very shy side but she warms up and will greet you with tail wags. She does not know how to walk on leash but we are working on that with her and she seems to be doing better especially when there's another dog friend to keep her company and tell her its going to be okay. We are unsure of her with cats but as always, super slow and patient introductions is best. Phoenix needs to be taught that humans are not so bad. Want to be that person? She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.Interested in adopting? Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
