Meet Feta

Animal Profile: Feta is an a 12-week-old Chi/Heeler mix (best guess) who joined us along with her 3 sisters from Texas on 4/15.  She and her sisters were in a foster home in Texas before getting their freedom ride to the PNW. We will add more information as we get it.  Foster Update: Feta is all puppy, all the time. Everything about life is very new to her and she is bright-eyed and bushy tailed! She is a very sweet little puppy who is playful, inquisitive, and loads of fun. She is still working on crate training. She doesn’t like the crate and can be very vocal about it – she just wants to be out with you! She has had some accidents in the crate and in the house so is still working on house training as well. That said, if she goes out frequently, she has better success at avoiding accidents in the house. Feta wants to play with the other small dog in the house and loves to play with toys. She will follow you around and get under feet but also loves to curl up in her bed or on your lap. She did meet a big dog today and was a bit intimidated so she will need lots of socialization. She is such a sweetheart and can’t wait to find her forever home. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.
