Meet Goldie a Yorkinese Pup

GOLDIE Background Goldie is a "designer breed" of Yorkie Terrier and Pekingese are known as a "Yorkinese" "                                                                     This small designer dog is usually between 6 and 9 inches in height and typically weighs between 5 and 12 pounds. These lively, affectionate little dogs will thrive on your attention and impress you with their unwavering confidence . "The energetic Yorkinese can be difficult to train and may not be the best choice for novice dog owners. They typically do well with individuals or families with older children. Thanks to their small size, they make a great companion for apartment dwellers.  You can expect them to be fairly long-lived, having a lifespan of 10 to 16 years. " Goldie was a dumped stray on the streets trying to survive. She was at the shelter for three weeks and due to overcrowding and not being adopted she was scheduled to be euthanized. The rescue pulled 12 dogs that day to save their lives. Goldie is up to date on her vaccines and is estimated to be 5 years old. What Goldie Needs Goldie will need a home with small breed savvy dog folks who have the patience and time to help her adjust after her scary stint in the shelter. Goldie will do best with older, dog-savvy folks who have the time for her. She is a sweetie and a bit traumatized.                                                                        Goldie loves to be held and carried everywhere.  She is not good with children or cats. She warms up to small dogs her size and she loves the fosters' dogs and is learning how to be with a dog and how to BE a dog. She follows her new foster siblings around all day.   Goldie gets very attached to a woman and will warm up with time to a gentle souled man.  Goldie can be snappy with strangers when she is afraid, which is common with this breed mix. With time, unconditional love, and patience she will be a wonderful addition to her human home and life. Goldie weighs approx. 8 pounds.   How To Meet Goldie Goldie has been transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble in place of a healthy canine-specific feeding regimen. SHE LOVES HER NEW FOOD!  We will educate her adopters on proper diet and nutrition for her and her new buddies. To apply to adopt Goldie, she has a $595.00  adoption fee.   All monies will be recycled to cover medical care and rescue more dogs. Please fill out the online application using this link.  Please be thorough in your answers and expound whenever possible so we get to know you and can make the best match.                                                                                    HTTP://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/
