MustLuvBoxers Rescue

Holly Adams founded MustLuvBoxers Rescue in 2013 when she decided to transform an internet forum dedicated to her favorite dog breed into a non-profit rescue that could serve Boxer dogs all along the West Coast. Under her leadership, the rescue saved 58 dogs in 2014, 66 in 2015, and now consistently saves more than 100 dogs each year.Holly serves as the rescue’s president, leading its 250+ volunteers and managing its day-to-day operations. She organizes and assists in all aspects of animal intake such as working with shelters or citizens surrendering dogs, arranging transportation for incoming dogs, and matching dogs with safe and loving foster homes. She also is actively involved in the adoption process, reviewing adoption applications, interviewing applicants, and helping to arrange home-checks prior to approved adoptions. When Holly isn’t helping Boxer dogs get back on their feet and into loving homes, she’s working as a physical therapy assistant helping patients literally get back on their feet. She also loves taking her dogs, Piper and Stevie, to go running at the beach.

Meet Jenny

Please meet Jenny! She is around 1½ years old, spayed, and up to date on all vaccines. She is a beautiful, white, petite Boxer who weighs-in around 43 pounds. Jenny is being fostered in Marysville, WA.   Jenny had a litter of puppies at some point in her young life and was very underweight upon intake into the rescue. She is such a good eater though and has filled out nicely since arriving in early February. Jenny loves her treats in the morning! Jenny is around 95% potty trained and will go to the door when she wants to go outside; she has never had an accident in her kennel.   Jenny was introduced to her foster mom’s older pups the day after she arrived there and since they’ve been around a lot of foster pups, they knew the drill. Jenny did great with the older boys and showed no sign of aggression at all. A couple of days later, Jenny was introduced to her foster mom’s younger female pup and younger male pup, and she did really good with both of them. These introductions were done very slowly to give Jenny a chance to get used them, especially since the young male Boxer is always on high-speed, but all went well. All the dogs in Jenny’s foster home get fed in the kitchen area and she hasn’t shown any concern about that nor has had any issues when the other pups go to check out her bowl. Based on her personality, we think Jenny might even be okay with a cat in her forever home, but she has not been tested around one.   Jenny is a young dog with an old soul. She is the most precious little girl with a very loving personality. She loves to be with her humans and could easily become a member of a family with senior members, or even a baby or young kids. She is just very sweet and laid back.  Jenny will sit and wait for treats until they are released to her. She has begun to play a little bit with her foster fur-siblings and also with toys. She has been an ideal houseguest and has not attempted to destroy anything that she’s not supposed to chew on.   Whoever gets to adopt this little girl is going to be one lucky family. Jenny is a gem, and we can’t wait to find her a forever family who will give her all the cuddles and love she desires. If you’re ready to welcome sweet Jenny into your heart and home, please let us know by submitting an adoption application – https://www.mustluvboxersrescue.com/adopt.
