Meet Sky

This is Sky. Sky is an 18-month old large breed mix. Her current family says she is a mix of Great Pyrenees, German Shepherd, Husky and probably several other breeds. Whatever the mix, it sure made a beautiful dog and a very sweet one as well. Her family has two young children, ages 1 and 4 and Sky is absolutely wonderful with these children. She's good with all people and other dogs too. Cats are an unknown as she hasn't met any. Sky has already been spayed but is not current on vaccines. She's totally housebroken but needs a little work walking on a leash. She's a clever girl so that should be piece of cake. Why does she need rescue? Her human mom has developed epilepsy and is prone to seizures. They are currently under control with medication but stress is a major contributor in causing seizures. This is a very serious health issue. Mom already has the stress of caring for 2 very young children plus a 10-year old disabled dog which will remain in the home. Sky is completely healthy, young and very active and this makes it very difficult and stressful on the mom. Sky would do well with a fenced up yard or an active person to take her on long walks. The dad works long hours to support the family and has very little time to help out with the dogs. Sky is located in the greater St. Louis area and we can arrange transport anywhere within a reasonable distance. Please help this family and Sky by providing rescue so she can get her permanent forever home.
