NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS Animal Profile: Cornelius is an estimated 5-month-old, 7 lbs male Lhasa Apso mix. His previous shelter noted he was friendly. Foster Update: Cornelius is adorable and very friendly. He greets everyone he meets with wiggles and rolls over at their feet for belly rubs. On leash walks he wants to say "hi" to everybody we pass by, dogs and people alike. He made fast friends with the neighbor dog and exchanged polite sniffs with some big dogs at the park. He quickly learned to sit for treats. Cornelius has a lot of energy and will bark at you when he's bored or wants attention. When he's over-excited by play or pets, he bites at hands. (We're working on discouraging this but his adopter will need to be consistent.) He likes fetch and tug of war. He's also a big fan of busy toys and puppy chew sticks. Once he's tired out, he's happy to curl up nearby for a nap. He sleeps in his crate overnight and settles pretty quickly when crated during the day. He's still having the occasional accident inside but does well when taken out regularly. Cornelius is a very vocal pup, we are not considering apartments for his at this time. Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, deworming, microchip and registration, and vet exam. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Cornelius was found as a stray and rescued from the Tulare Animal Services in California, which is severely overcrowded. He arrived in Seattle on Oct. 10, 2023 and is in foster care.
