Rescue Well Incorporated

Our organization primarily helps owners keep pets in safe and healthy homes. We do this by offering support (i.e. training advice, management), supplies (i.e. food, crates, leashes), and we work closely with animal control on cases where owners truly just need help keeping pets. When re-homing is best, we work with owners to provide re-homing assistance which includes marketing and screening of applicants, as well as post-adoption support for adopters.

Meet FRANKIE 2 (COURTESY POST)

Frankie is 3yo, weighs 80lbs, is spayed, is up to date on his vaccines, but is not microchipped.  Frankie is "very smart.  She knows her toys by name.  Also knows basic command - sit, down.  Frankie dislikes/fears getting her nails trimmed and car rides, to the point she sometimes gets carsick.  During the day, she roams the house freely and sleeps on her guardians' bed at night, in her open crate, or on the couch.  She loves to go along on jogs and hikes.  She loves to run and play and fetch.  She has lots of energy and loves to be around people all the time.   She loves to be pet and paid attention to." Frankie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  "My 2yo daughter is allergic and it is affecting her asthma.  We have tried medications for her but they are not working." Bite incident:  On 20 October 2023, Frankie bit the person grooming him when she attempted t trim his toe nails; the bite broke the skin; animal control was not involved.  Frankie's guardian explains:  "We took Frankie to a new groomer and we informed them she doesn't like her nails clipped.  We told them to muzzle her but they didn't.  Frankie is not an aggressive dog at all, this is the only time she has ever bitten anyone.  She bit the groomer when she went to clip her back nails."  Frankie's guardian states the following regarding children:  Frankie has lived with children, ages 0-2, so her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "Likes them to pet her and give her attention". Frankie's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Frankie has lived with dogs, her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "Frankie loves other dogs". Frankie's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Since Frankie hasn't lived with nor otherwise been around cats, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats. Frankie's guardian describes her as: Very active Barks alot Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Protective Always at your side House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Frankie's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "The ideal home for Frankie would be with a family that is very active.  She loves to go along on jogs and hikes.  She loves to run and play and fetch.  She has a lot of energy and loves to be around people all the time.  She loves to be pet and paid attention to." Rehoming Fee:  None Location:  Parville, MD
