GUS NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Gus and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/27) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Silver Spring, MD (12020 Cherry Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904)!   Name:   Gus        Best Guess for Breed:   Beagle/Hound mix   Best Guess for Age:   3 years as of March 2025         SEX:   Male   Approximate Weight:   18 lbs   Gets Along With:   Gus lives with other dogs and cats! Although Gus has not lived with children to our knowledge, but he has done well with those kids he has met. Given what we have observed so far, however, we think he would do well in a home with kids.   Currently Living at:   DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations: Because Gus is shy, he needs to go to a home with a confident, welcoming resident dog who will show him the ropes.    Gus is Looking For:    Happy Gus just wants a safe, warm home with a bed just for him where he can lay his head with his floppy hound ears. Long sniffy walks (that houndy nose!), romps with pup pals - he LOVES other dogs! - and world exploration round out his wish list!   He has that adorable little face and so much love for life in his little heart. What do you say? Is there a place for him in your home and your heart? What My Foster Says About Me:   Gus walks well on a leash and does great in his crate! He loves playing with other dogs and would benefit from having a resident dog to help build his confidence. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
