Petey and Furends

Petey and Furends is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 84-4819015) no-kill animal rescue organization that is dedicated to reducing instances of neglect, abuse, and homelessness in companion animals. To do this, we use research- and evidence-based practices to facilitate a matchmaking experience that will increase the rate of successful adoptions. All members of Petey and Furends are volunteers who dedicate their time and compassion to the animals.

Name: Alfie Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 7 months old (as of 9/10) Best Guess for Breed: Min Pin/Chi Mix Weight: About 10 lbs Good With: Dogs, people, kids and cats! Puppies are in the prime of their socialization! Story: Alfie was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. Alfie is a super sweetie that loves all people and gets along great with other dogs, puppies, and cats. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Alfie is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. As a puppy, Alfie will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Alfie is a gem. No accidents. Great in his crate. No barking. Loves cats, dogs, and going outside. No jumping up on people. Happy to do whatever the people are doing. Only chews toys. Not much mouthing. Good in the car. Would be good in an apartment. Likes to play, but not crazy. Adoption Process
Application, conversation with an experienced volunteer, landlord and/or vet check if applicapable, adoption fee ranging from $300-$400
