Meet Whiskey: "My Home to Yours"
Meet Whiskey, a 3.5-year-old, 45 lb neutered Husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s housetrained, great with children, and plays well with other dogs. Whiskey is being rehomed due to housing changes, and while he’d love to stay with his big brother Bear, he’s ready to thrive in a loving home—solo or together. If you’ve ever wanted a husky without the drama, Whiskey’s your guy. Apply to adopt, and we’ll forward your info to his current family: Please apply to adopt by going to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
