Meet Ollie: “My Home to Yours”
"My Home to Yours” We don’t know a lot about Ollie, but her family asked for assistance finding her a new home. Here’s what they say: “This is Ollie, beagle/hound mix, female. She is a sweet dog, very gentle and loving. She does great with other dogs, not sure about cats. She loves to take naps and play with toys. It would be great if she had a fenced in yard as she does like to explore with her nose. She loves to walk and lay in the sun.” We are told she is current with vaccinations. We have asked for information about her weight and her age, but have not received that yet. We also do not know if she is spayed. Hoping to get more information soon! In the meantime, if this looks like a dog, you might be interested in meeting, please apply for Ollie by going to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. **For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!
Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
