Name:   Cyrus        Best Guess for Breed:   Lab and Basset Hound mix    Best Guess for Age:   2 years         SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   36 lbs - could lose a few pounds   Gets Along With:  Has lived with other dogs. We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - Cyrus needs a foster or adopter to make his way to the DC area   Cyrus is Looking For:    Say hello to Cyrus, the ultimate lowrider lovebug! This unique boy is a Lab/Basset Hound mix, which means he’s got the best of both worlds — the sweet, loyal nature of a Lab paired with the charming, squatty stature of a Basset. With his gray and white coat, soulful eyes, and short little legs, Cyrus is a total showstopper wherever he goes.  At around 35 lbs, Cyrus is a manageable size for any home — apartment or house — and his laid-back, friendly personality makes him a joy to have around. He’s the kind of dog who’ll greet you with a tail wag and then plop down next to you for some serious cuddle time. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
