Meet Harris

Our sweet Harris was picked up as a stray by animal control in one of the surrounding counties.  He had a raging ear infection to the point that the exudate was running out of his ear and down his chest.  Consequently, he is deaf in that ear.  It is thought that he can hear in the other ear. He also has advanced heart worm disease.  He has been  treated for the heart worms and has been treated for the ear infection and his ears are fine now.  Sugar is a good name for him because he is sweet as sugar.  He gets along with other dogs and is really good with his foster kids who are older.  We don't think that he would be good with cats.  He loves to snuggle on the sofa and watch TV with his foster family and also loves car rides.  He is great in the kennel and loves Toys he can shred but also likes bones that are long lasting.   He has not been neutered yet but is scheduled for May after he has completed his heart worm treatment.  The ideal family for out boy is one that is loving, patient, and calm.  You couldn't get a better companion and one that would love to learn new tricks.  He rides well in the car and is waiting for his family.  He will be ready to go home with that family in May 2024 but we are accepting applications now.  Get your applications in early so you don't miss out on this special boy.  Call 757-472-1583 or [email protected] if you are interested in adopting this little cuddle bug.

Adoption Process
We require an adoption application. We do home checks, vet checks, and reference checks. If approved, the adopter signs a contract.
