Bully Rescue & Advocacy Group, Inc.

Bully Rescue & Advocacy Group envisions a world where all pets are free from abuse, neglect and discrimination. As an all volunteer rescue & advocacy group our mission is to rescue animals who have been abused, abandoned, or otherwise destined to be euthanized at the hands of humans who have failed them. We are an all-breed rescue with a soft spot in our hearts for the misunderstood bully breed dogs. Our goal is to help educate others and erase negative stigma associated with “Pit Bull” dogs. By working with responsible foster homes, we are able to provide our dogs with a loving environment which includes being kept indoors as a family pet, socialized, trained on the basics including manners & crate training. Through donations, all animals rescued by BRAG shall be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and implanted with microchip before being adopted into a well matched and carefully screened adoptive home. We also work with responsible owners who need assistance with food, routine care & training. We believe in the No Kill Equation. We believe dogs are individuals and should not be labeled. We believe that all dogs deserve a second, third or more chance at living the best life they can possibly live.We believe there is no such thing as a bad dog, only bad owners. We believe that all animals need to be in an environment to fit their specific needs & personality. We believe that dogs are intended to be family pets and place them accordingly. We believe that when people are considering pet ownership, they should consider adoption from a rescue or shelter rather than for profit breeders or puppy mills.

Meet Summer

Summer & her 3 siblings were found dumped on a country back road in Lee County VA. Their shelter is very full and euthanizing for space so the finder held onto them for the almost 3 weeks it took for a rescue (us) to step up and save them! And we are so so happy we said yes to these hound babies - even though we are a pit bull rescue! Because they are by far some of the best babies we have in rescue!!!Summer is what her foster calls an "angel baby"! She is calm and just wants to be around you. She absolutely loves other dogs and we think she would love a doggie friend to pal around with as she does look to the dog in her foster home for guidance. She has not had one single accident in the apartment and handles her business as soon as she is taken out. She whines just a little bit when you first put her in her crate but she quiets down and stays in there quietly all night. She has a hound "yodel" but she is not very vocal. She is very low energy. She is not super playful either but will pick up a toy here and there to see what all the fuss is all about. Summer is just a really great dog!!!Her adoption fee is $375 and includes age appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip and spay. To adopt go to www.braginc.org under forms for more info email [email protected]
