Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

PETRIE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Petrie            Best Guess for Breed: Doxie/Beagle Mix      Best Guess for Age:  10.5 months as of March 2024            SEX:  Male   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  18 lbs as of 3/29   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen Petrie with kids or cats, but he be tested.   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Petrie is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Petrie! I'm small but we are mighty cute! I'd love to find a forever home that has lots of tiny, fluffy beds for me to sleep on and lots of toys to play with and lots of treats to snack on and lots of laps to snooze on and, and, and, I want it all! I'd love to go on lots of walks and other adventures. I really want lots of running and playtime with other pups. What do you say? Am I the one for you? Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
