Meet Nacar & Chispa – Sweet Girls Looking for Their Forever Homes! Rescued after being dumped on the streets of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Nacar and Chispa are now spayed, fully vaccinated, current on preventatives, and ready for a new beginning! These beautiful 1-year-old girls each weigh about 27 and 26 lbs respectively. Friendly & Social: Both Nacar and Chispa adore people and play well with other dogs. They haven’t been tested with cats yet, but they are young, happy, good-natured, and highly adaptable. They live together with 2 other dogs in our rescuer's home in Puerto Rico. They are used to the good life now and our rescuer would like them to have the opportunity for a better life than Puerto Rico can provide. ♀️ Great on a Leash: These girls walk wonderfully on a leash and enjoy a good run at the park. They’d thrive in an active home where they can explore, play, and cuddle with their humans. In the yard, Chispa loves to say hello to passing pups with a friendly bark — just letting them know she sees them! Nacar doesn't bark much. Looking for Love: Nacar (meaning mother of pearl) and Chispa (meaning a spark of fire) are ready to bring joy, companionship, and tail wags to a loving family in the States. Please put in an application so we can approve your family to do a trial adoption to see if one of these girls would be a good fit for your family.
Adoption Process
Potential adopters/fosters will complete an application, have an interview with one of our volunteers, once approved, they can schedule meet and greets with our available dogs. All adoptions are trial at first, once finalized a contract will be signed. We require spay or neuter of all animals. Most adoptions are $395.
