Meet Rascal: Not at shelter (Kendra)

Two new additions came to the shelter on Monday. When human mom’s health declined, her canine buddies needed a place to land. We welcomed Rascal, 14-years old, a Boston terrier (mix?) and his housemate BoBo, three years old, a dachshund mix. Both boys appear to be social with the folks at the shelter, and are current with vet care at a local vet office. We know change is not easy for smaller breeds especially, and hope the boys will find placement quickly. We look forward to getting to know them. We do not know if they have been exposed to cats or small children, snd have no input as to their daily routine, potty habits,  or other questions you may have. Please apply to adopt by going to our website.  https://www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org/forms/form?formid=3709     PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at [email protected]. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.

Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
