Meet Blanche
BLANCHE NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Blanche and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (04/06) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)! Name: Blanche Best Guess for Breed: Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 12 years as of 9/30/2024 SEX: female Approximate Weight: 12 lbs. Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen Blanche with cats, but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! We would be cautious placing her in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. Currently Living at: DC area foster home! Blanche is Looking For: Blanche is a sweet senior who has found herself looking for a home through no fault of her own. She is eager to once again be safe and loved and under her own roof. One look at Blanche's face and you can see this little cutie is sure to break some hearts with her big dark eyes, button nose, and spotted ears. Blanche will enjoy taking leisurely strolls, sunbathing by the window, and playing with soft toys. She will appreciate having a warm sweater when it's cool outside. Belly rubs go a long way in her book. Blanche may not move as quickly as used to but her small size will make her an excellent traveling companion. Bring along a favorite blanket and schedule some time for naps and Blanche should do just fine. What My Foster Says About Me: Blanche would be a great companion for someone who works from home because she loves being with her people. Wherever you go, she goes with you. She likes other dogs when they are low to moderate energy types like her. Blanche enjoys being out in the yard but doesn't get too excited about leash walks. Cruising in a doggy stroller is more her style. Offering high value treats is a good way to win her over. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $375, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations.
