Meet Davana: "My Home to Yours"

My Home to Yours: Davana Coonhound/Lab Mix | Spayed Female | ~80+ lbs | Born February 15, 2021 Davana is the complete package: affectionate, well-mannered, playful, and great with kids, dogs, cats—even chickens and ducks! Her family is facing unexpected challenges and is heartbroken to part with her, but they know she deserves a home where she’ll have time, adventure, and love. This sweet girl is: Spayed and house-trained (she rings a bell to go out!) Crate-trained and calm when left alone Social and confident—she's never met a stranger Great with all ages of children and other pets Loves walks, hikes, tug-of-war, and splashing in water She’s currently on a dry, mostly grain-free diet and enjoys raw bones and the occasional veggie. She sleeps inside but loves outdoor time too—making her a great fit for an active home that values both adventure and snuggles. Ideal Home Davana would thrive with a person or family that can give her the time, companionship, and exercise she craves. A fenced yard, regular walks, and a loving home environment would be her dream come true. Please apply to adopt by going to our website at www.friendsofcampbellcounty.org. We have had numerous requests from citizens in our county to help them rehome their pets, but they are willing to keep them in the home until it happens, rather than bring them to the overflowing shelter at Campbell County Animal Control near Yellow Branch. We are listing those cats and dogs on our website as "My Home to Yours." We ask that interested adopters fill out the FOAC application, and we will pass it along to the family wanting to rehome. We cannot guarantee health, temperament, or behavior for these pets, as we have not met them. However, we are happy to act as a resource for issues that may arise. For pets not spayed or neutered, we are happy to help set that up!

Adoption Process
Begin with an application to adopt. Other pets in household must be spay/neutered, current with rabies vaccines, dogs need to be current with HW testing and heartguard. Fees range between $75 and $300. We follow up on spays/neuters for pets under six months, and the fees include spay/neuter. Contract requires it. Adults are adopted out already spayed/neutered. Pets must be returned to FOAC if adoption ends.
