HONEYBEE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name:  Honeybee         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua - Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:  1 year as of  4/18/2024        SEX:   female   Approximate Weight:  8.54 lbs. as of 4/23/2024   Gets Along With:  other dogs. Honeybee has not been seen with cats but we can test.She cannot go to a home with kids under the age of 12 due to her breed.   Currently Living at:  the shelter, Honeybee needs a foster or forever home in the DC area.   Special adoption considerations:  Because Honeybee arrived into Lucky Dog's care not long after being rescued,she has not yet been altered. If she is adopted before our appointment for her, her adopter will be responsible for ensuring she is spayed by 6/21/2024. Her adopter may elect to take over the Lucky Dog alter appointment slot.    Honeybee is Looking For:   All the things that every dog wants! The chance to play, explore, act like a dog and be loved in her new home. Honeybee may be small in size but she has a big heart and can't wait to share all  the love she has been storing up. Chihuahuas often bond with one person and Honeybee can't until she finds "the one" for her. Could that be you?    If you are looking for a small dog who would love to go with you on walks and then snuggle up with you at night, Honeybee is your girl. She would also like to have some canine friends so trips to the dog park (small dog section, please), doggy daycare or neighborhood play dates would make her happy. Obedience training will be a great bonding experience and will allow Honeybee to show you what a great dog she can be. Get that application in now because this little cutie won't be around for long! What My Foster Says About Me:   We will update as soon as Honeybee spends some time with a foster. Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
