Passion 4 Paws

Mission Statement: Our Mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused dogs. By working with committed volunteers, already established veterinarians and trainers, we will nurture, provide medical care, and rehabilitation to these animals while providing a safe and loving "cage-free" environment for as long as it takes to find them adoptive homes. Our Vision: Our vision is to decrease the amount of dogs put to death every year, and prevent cruelty and suffering to all animals. Through humane education via our resources and educational classes, we aim to increase public awareness regarding the over population of adoptable animals in municipal shelters and beyond, and to that end we are firmly committed to:-Rescuing dogs from municipal shelters that are in danger of being euthanized-Educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering of companion animals and micro-chipping pets-Advocating for animals through political participation with our Community representatives

Meet Layla

IN VERMONT  Meet Layla!  https://youtu.be/kU0fatLTf1A Layla is 4 1/2 years old (approx. DOB 7-14-18), female, 44 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Layla came into the shelter with Maisy. She is a shy and timid dog who is looking for a patient and loving home. Despite her initial fear of new people and situations, Layla has a heart of gold and is eager to find someone who will help her blossom into the loving and playful companion she truly is. Layla is a sweet and gentle dog who is easily scared by loud noises and new experiences. She is looking for a calm and patient home where she can feel safe and secure. With time and patience, Layla will slowly begin to come out of her shell and show her true personality. Despite her shy nature, Layla has a playful side that loves to play and run in a safe, familiar environment. She is treat motivated and loves to learn new things. With consistent training and a supportive family, Layla has the potential to be a loyal and loving companion. She is potty trained, crate trained, gets along well with other dogs (needs another dog in the home), likely is good with cats, and is good with children but she would do best in a quiet home with a family who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to adjust. If you're looking for a dog who needs a little extra love and support, Layla is the one for you! Stay tuned for more information as Layla is a new rescue! If you are interested in adopting Layla please fill out an Application at  www.Passion-4-Paws.org  (please make sure you have the Vermont site not CT) - thanks!
