Meet Humphrey

Humphrey, a name that means peaceful warrior, comes to us from the hard streets of a local Utah tribal reservation. Signs of survival written all over his body, found with a full face of porcupine quills, and the most gentle and loyal soul you have ever met. Humphrey is a survivor. Guessed to be around 5 years old and a lab mix of sorts, he is a pretty easy going guy that enjoys the company of other easy going dogs and is hoping to land a human that will give him the job of supervision- he loves to follow his person around and make sure they are safe. Humphrey is a stick close kind of guy who will be best suited for a fully fenced yard or a family who can take him on outings often. He enjoys meeting new people and is pretty relaxed and easy going. Cats are not a good mix for him however, so a home with out any felines is a must. We also think he would be just fine with older respectful kids! After surgery to remove porcupine quills it was discovered that he had also been shot, likely while fleeing, nicking his urinary tract area, and requiring reconstruction. Humphrey has undergone repair to his urethra and bladder- which we are thankful to say, is now in working order and will only need a watchful eye, no further medical is expected. Are you looking for an extra special boy? Humphrey is fixed, vaccinated, dewormed, health checked, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200. To be considered, apply online at caws.org. Thanks!
