Meet Arna

Hi, my name is Arna, and I'm a one year old female heeler/shepherd mix! I currently weigh 35lbs (my foster mom is working on making sure I fill out) and my projected weight likely won't exceed 45-50lbs. I have a beautiful fawn coat, elegant eyeliner, and a black spot on my tail. A few of the many great things about me:  - I'm friendly with everyone and very affectionate with my humans - I'm great in the car, so you can take me anywhere - I have lots of energy (I could play fetch for hours, I'm a fast runner!) but I also have an off switch. I'm happy to lounge while inside the house, or nap by your feet while you work - I'm very eager to please and listen for my name. Off-leash hiking will be in the cards for me once I'm trained on recall! - I'm crate trained and sleep through the night - Last but not least, I'm fully potty trained! While I'm curious by nature, I sometimes get surprised by things that are new to me, but my foster mom says I'm becoming a more confident dog every day. I'd love to go to a family who will continue to expose me to new things, and exercise me thoroughly every day. Another thing I am working on is leash training - I'm responding very well to my gentle leader (head harness) but will need my forever family to continue working with me on that. I would do well in most settings and am comfortable around dog-savvy kids, but I like to chase so a home without cats would be best for me. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption application at:  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication - Or come see me at Petapalooza on Saturday! I can't wait to meet you!
