Meet Patches
Meet Patches – A Sweet, Senior Gentleman Looking for His Cozy Forever HomePatches is a 14-year-old, 14-lb Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a wonderfully mellow vibe. He’s the definition of a laid-back companion — his favorite pastime is napping, whether it’s curled up on his pillow, his pet bed, or tucked into a cozy corner. He’s independent too, often trotting off to his crate or pillow throne when he’s ready to settle in for a snooze.Fully housetrained, Patches is great at letting you know when he needs something, usually with a single polite bark if he wants to go outside, or if he’s feeling hungry or thirsty. He absolutely loves being scratched and petted, especially under his chin, along his ears, and down his back — he’ll melt right into your hand.Patches is a peaceful little guy who gets along well with both dogs and cats. He’s calm and tolerant, even around dogs who may not be the best at socializing, though he’s not afraid to assert himself gently if needed. He enjoys hanging out in the yard with his foster sibling but isn’t too interested in toys — napping is definitely his top hobby! He’s happiest when his favorite person is nearby but is content to relax on his own without needing to follow you from room to room. Patches would thrive in a quiet, low-key home where he can spend his golden years soaking up love, lounging in comfort, and being your easygoing companion.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
