Almost Home Pet Rescue

We are a foster based, no kill and all volunteer rescue. We are dedicated to saving as many lives as possible from Houston's street and high kill shelters. All of our animals live in foster homes until they are adopted, we can therefore tell you a lot about their personality, likes/ dislikes and any training.

Meet SANTOS

Est DOB: 7/15/2018, neutered, chipped, hw negative, and UTD on vaccinations  Current weight: approx. 10 pounds Santos loves everyone he has met so far. He is 10 lbs. of absolute sweetness. His big brown eyes, floppy little ears, curly tail and long legs will melt your heart. He eagerly greets everyone and wants to be your new best friend. After the initial excitement of greeting someone, he is happy to snuggle on the couch. His favorite activities are napping, eating, and staying close to his people. He loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. He is crate trained and potty trained (although expect a period of adjustment in a new environment). He responds to come and to sit (especially when holding a treat). Santos is in a foster home with another small dog that he does well with. He is curious about the cat that also lives there but he respectfully keeps his distance. Please consider making this handsome boy a member of your family. As we are a foster based rescue, we do require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :  https://almosthomepetrescue.org/apply-now-1  $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates.  If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500. This amount is inclusive of adoption fee, transport fee, health certificate, and taxes.
