SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners.We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health.We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes.We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

LOCATION: Brownsville, Pennsylvania DOB: 12/19/2024Meet Sonic – The Tail-Wagging Tornado of JoyBorn in December 2024 and already making a big impression, Sonic is a 50% Great Dane, 33% Shepherd blend of energy, sweetness, and pure puppy enthusiasm. He’s the kind of pup who lights up every room he enters—and the foster family’s kids secretly (or not so secretly) claim he’s their favorite.Sonic is crate trained and working hard on potty training, making great progress every day. He’s fantastic with other dogs and adores children. Cats, however, are a mystery that currently scares him a bit—but with his happy-go-lucky nature, he’ll likely warm up with time and patience.From the moment he wakes up, his tail is wagging. Sonic lives life at full volume—ready to play, explore, go for a walk, or ride shotgun on any adventure. He’s equally happy causing a little mischief or crashing on the couch for snuggles. And yes, stuffed toys beware: Sonic performs “surgery” with great enthusiasm.He’s currently living with a group of adult Great Danes and joins them on daily romps through the woods, his absolute favorite time of day. He sticks close, doesn’t run off, and is working on recall like a champ. Even the Queen Dane of the house approves of him, showing him secret digging spots and passing on her woodland wisdom.Sonic is a happy, loving, and adventurous pup who would thrive in just about any home willing to match his joyful energy.
