Central Texas Dachshund Rescue

Our mission is to rehabilitate and rehome dachshunds in need of a second chance at life. CTDR was founded in September of 2000. Our membership has grown yearly, providing more foster families and volunteers to help find loving, forever homes for our dachshunds.

Meet Noodle

Noodle is a new arrival to CTDR.  He was found as a stray and the finder was no longer able to keep him.  He is an active one year old boy who is still in that puppy stage with digging and chewing.  He would do better in a home with other dogs, provided they are bigger dogs as he can get a little rough.  He is not a fan of cats and it would be best not to have a cat in the home. If interested in Noodle, please complete an application at www.ctdr.rog.

Adoption Process
Our Web site contains full details. We have all of our dogs (pictures/bios) on the site. Potential adopters need to completely fill out the application. Our Adoption Committee reviews and contacts the potential adopter to get the specifics. The committee also conducts the reference checks. Once this is complete, the committee sets up a home visit and finally, the team will set up a meet greet with the adopter and family to meet the Dachshund. All of our dogs are in foster homes with our volunteers so there isn't one central location.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
