SRGDRR Inc aka Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab

SRGDRR is a 100% volunteer organization. Like all humane groups, SRGDRR is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and Great Dane Mixes, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general. SRGDRR helps people to:Determine the right breed of dog for their lifestyle.Find healthy and companionable dogs that fit their circumstances.Find loving replacement homes for Danes they can no longer keep.Become knowledgeable about the care and training of their Great Danes.Resolve their Danes physical/behavioral problem.Overcome the grief at the loss of their loved pet.Stretch their tax dollar by assuming the Dane burden from public shelters.SRGDRR helps Danes:By providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected, and/or abused by their previous owners. We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment as necessary to return the Dane back to good health. We also supply training/socialization to ensure their adaptability to new, good homes. We work to place rescue Danes to people who provide secure, loving, and healthy homes.SRGDRR spends an average of $300 per dog that enters our rescue. In order for us to continue providing the best care and vetting for these babies, we need donations and adoptions. Thank you all so very much.

Meet Alice

LOCATION: Henryetta, OklahomaDOB: 07/31/2022Alice is a spirited dane mix bursting with energy and sass, bringing a whole lot of fun wherever she goes. With her vibrant personality, she's a magnet for laughter and good times. Sure, she may have a mischievous streak every now and then, but that just adds to her charm!Alice has been through her fair share of adventures, including surgery to repair cherry eye, but she's bounced back looking fabulous and ready to conquer the world! While she may not have had much exposure to cats, her playful nature might make her a bit too enthusiastic for their liking. However, when it comes to hanging out with her fellow canine pals, she is all in, embracing every opportunity for play and companionship. With her graceful clumsiness and infectious energy, she is best suited for a home with older children, preferably over 12. She may be a bit shy and timid when meeting new people, but with some patience and understanding, she'll warm up in no time. And while she's not a fan of the crate due to some separation anxiety, she's working on it and has the potential to improve with a patient, committed adopter. She can be easily spooked at random things. When that happens she looks for a tight space to hide away and will stay put until she feels safe. Behind a couch and under the porch are 2 places where she can regroup until her bravery reappears. Poor baby!Alice is a quick learner, mastering potty training with ease and always eager to pick up new skills. With her striking mantle coat and soulful amber eyes, she's a true beauty inside and out. Don’t miss your chance to welcome this sweet and spirited girl into your home. Her best chapter is yet to come, and wouldn’t you want to be a part of it?========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at [email protected].
